Process Engineer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Tipperary)

An established pharmaceutical manufacturer in Tipperary is seeking a
hands-on Process Engineer
to support ongoing manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys spending time on the production floor, troubleshooting issues in real time, and driving continuous improvement across processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide
daily engineering support
to manufacturing operations, with significant time spent on the production floor.
* Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimise downtime and support smooth production.
* Lead and participate in
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
* Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Validation teams to resolve technical challenges.
* Support process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, yield, and equipment performance.
* Assist in the introduction and scale-up of new products, equipment, or processes.
* Generate and maintain documentation such as change controls, deviation reports, SOPs, and technical assessments.
* Ensure compliance with GMP, safety standards, and internal procedures.
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing or similar).
* 2–5+ years' experience in a
pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environment
.
* Strong hands-on approach with a willingness to work directly on the manufacturing floor.
* Proven experience in
troubleshooting
process or equipment issues.
* Demonstrated capability in
Root Cause Analysis
, problem solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Familiarity with GMP requirements and manufacturing workflows.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
