AA Euro Group is currently recruiting for a Civils Foreman on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor delivering projects across the power, renewable energy, water, and infrastructure sectors throughout the West of Ireland. The successful candidate will join a growing and well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of work including power station developments, solar farm installations, water and wastewater infrastructure projects, utility works, and general civil engineering schemes.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager and Project Manager, the Civils Foreman will be responsible for overseeing site operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role will involve working across multiple projects throughout the region and would suit an experienced Foreman with a strong background in civil engineering and utility infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities.
Manage direct labour and subcontractors on site.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and programme requirements.
Monitor productivity and progress against project schedules.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are implemented and adhered to.
Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks.
Coordinate plant, materials, and labour requirements.
Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers regarding project progress.
Maintain site records and daily reports.
Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays and maximise productivity.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Civils Foreman within the civil engineering or utility sectors.
Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects such as power, energy, water, utilities, roads, or renewable energy developments.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management procedures.
Full driving licence.
Safe Pass and relevant site certifications.
Experience working on power, renewable energy, water, or utility projects is highly desirable.
