Our Purpose
The Packaging Laboratory team are responsible for performing packaging validation testing to support new product development packaging validations as well as providing support for operations as required. The Packaging Technician III will be responsible for ensuring the completion of this testing by following defined standard outputs or set of procedures.

A Day in The Life Of:
1. Performs a variety of technical procedures such as packaging testing ASTM D4169, ASTM F2096, ASTM F1929, ASTM D3078, ASTM F88, and ISTA 2A.
2. Makes and records observations as part of validation testing.
3. Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment.
4. Perform drop testing, vibration, and package conditioning which includes manually lifting/moving products from one location to another.
5. Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
6. Comply with facilities environmental health and safety procedures.
7. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
8. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.
9. Responsible for checking data and technical information when minor changes may be required based on review. Technical problems faced are routine and solutions clearly prescribed.
Key Skills & Experience
Requires minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Basic computer skills required.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
A good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
Requires manual handling as part of role.
Knowledge of Microsoft suite (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.) desired.
Previous experience and knowledge of packaging validation testing is an advantage.
