We are a well-established and growing UK-based importer and distributor of food ingredients, supplying manufacturers and food processors across the UK and Ireland. With long-standing global supplier partnerships and a diverse portfolio of functional and commodity ingredients, we support customers across a wide range of sectors including bakery, dairy, meat, ready meals, and plant-based foods.

The business has built a strong reputation for reliability, flexibility, and customer service, working closely with customers to ensure consistent supply and competitive sourcing in a dynamic market. With continued investment and ambitious growth plans, particularly across Ireland, this is an exciting opportunity to join a commercially driven business at a key stage of expansion.

The Role This is a field-based role responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities with food manufacturers and food processors throughout Ireland. You will also be responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts.



You will play a key role in driving revenue growth, building long-term partnerships, and strengthening our presence in the Irish market.

The role is suited to candidates based in Northern Ireland who are comfortable travelling regularly throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
• Identify and target new customers within food manufacturing and food processing sectors
• Proactively generate leads through research, networking, referrals, and targeted cold outreach
• Arrange and attend customer meetings across Ireland
• Present the company’s ingredient portfolio and value proposition

Account Management
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers
• Understand customer needs and identify opportunities to supply additional products
• Manage customer accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention

Sales Growth
• Deliver against agreed sales gross profit targets and KPIs
• Develop and execute territory plans to maximise market coverage
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates to management

Market Intelligence
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity
• Provide feedback to internal teams to support product strategy and growth

Internal Collaboration
• Work closely with internal sales, logistics, and procurement teams
• Ensure smooth onboarding of new customers and delivery of orders



Candidate Profile - Essential
• Based in Northern Ireland
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel extensively across Ireland
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, organised, and results-focused
• Confident building relationships with customers

Desirable (but not essential)
• B2B sales experience
• Experience in food, ingredients, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors
• Commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Field sales experience

Candidates without sales experience but with strong communication skills, self-reliance and strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
