The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services to support safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication management across Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. This role focuses on specialist palliative care and services for older persons, and involves working within a small team with support from senior pharmacist colleagues. The post would suit a newly registered pharmacist.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services to support safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication management.
* Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services with emphasis on palliative care and care of older persons.
* Work within a small team with support from senior pharmacist colleagues.
Essential Criteria
* Be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or be entitled to registration
* Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical practice, medication management, and relevant legislation
* Possess sufficient Office 365 experience for daily operations
* Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment
* Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentation and report writing abilities
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to training and development of pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary team members
* Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and professional collaboration
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience of working in a hospital pharmacy is desirable but not essential, as full training will be available.
Contract Type
* Fixed-term contract (12 months) on a full-time basis, comprising 35 hours per week.
