The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic, dynamic and results-oriented Head of Events and Sponsorship to lead the development and execution of our events and sponsorship programme.

In this position, you will play a key role within the Markets Leadership team, in helping to drive the continued growth of our brand and business, via our market-leading events and sponsorships.

Managing a team of experienced professionals, you will drive a focus on continuous innovation, creativity, measurement and results, as we seek to amplify our major sponsorship assets in the market and take them to new heights.

This is a unique opportunity to join a large, vibrant and high-performing central Markets team, comprising professionals across marketing, communications, business development and creative services, who are leading the way in professional services marketing.

Role Responsibilities

* Develop and implement a comprehensive events and sponsorships strategy, aligned with the firm's brand and business growth objectives.
* Identify, plan, and oversee the execution of a variety of events, including industry conferences, seminars and client briefings, in conjunction with our business units.
* Deliver an annual programme of varied, best-in-class client hospitality offerings.
* Manage a programme of high-profile national sponsorships across the sports, business and cultural arenas including sponsorship programmes with the the firm's 3 Irish Brand Ambassadors (Leona Maguire, Rhasidat Adeleke and Rachael Blackmore), the KPMG Women's Irish Open, KPMG Childrens's Book awards, the KPMG Business & Finance Annual Business Awards and many more.
* Secure and manage new impactful sponsorships that provide strategic value and align with our brand values and strategy.
* Cultivate relationships with new and existing external agencies, to negotiate and enhance sponsorship agreements and activation programmes.
* Embed a culture of creativity and innovation in the planning and execution of sponsorship and event activations, to ensure maximum amplification of our marketing assets and optimum audience engagement.
* Managing the budgeting, measurement and reporting mechanisms around all events and sponsorship initiatives, ensuring value for money and ROI are achieved.
* Lead a team of events and sponsorship professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment, ensuring best-in-class outcomes and results.
* Stay current on industry trends and best practices in event planning and sponsorship activation.
* Leverage best practices from the global KPMG network for the Irish firm.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of sponsorship initiatives with overall strategic, business and Markets objectives.

Experience And Qualifications
This role requires:

* A dynamic, strategic, innovative thinker, who brings passion and creativity to their role.
* Minimum of 10 years professional experience at senior levels, leading premium events and sponsorship programmes, within large corporate, or professional services firms.
* Proven track record of developing and executing best-in-class events and sponsorship programmes that align with brand values and deliver measurable results.
* Strong experience in leading supplier negotiations/agreements and reporting performance outcomes against targets.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills and proven leadership and influencing skills at a senior level.
* A true people-leader, capable of motivating and leading a high-performing team.
* Adept in preparing regular budget updates and data-driven KPI reports for leadership.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to measure success.
* Business or Marketing qualifications appropriate to the role.
* A self-directed, energetic and commercially-focused professional
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
