Context
IOM Ireland has been operating in Ireland since 2001, focusing on Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, Resettlement, Family Reunification, Counter‑Trafficking, Protection, Integration Support to Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, Integrated Immigration Governance, and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). IOM provides mental health and psychosocial support to international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility to improve their well‑being and resilience.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Ireland and direct supervision of the Head of MHPSS Unit, the incumbent will support the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) requirements of the MHPSS project providing services to International Protection seekers in Ireland. The role also contributes to broader M&E activities of the Mission.
Responsibilities
Support development and implementation of monitoring frameworks for existing and future MHPSS projects in Ireland.
Assist in reviewing project SOPs and contribute to project development in line with IOM’s institutional guidelines. Analyze donor reporting requirements to support accurate data collection.
Compile, summarize and present necessary information for the team and for internal and external reports to IOM, donors, and other stakeholders.
Draft status reports to support effective implementation of the project.
Support the administrative requirements of the project, coordinating closely with regional teams to assist in day‑to‑day activities and operations according to project SOPs.
Support the wider Mission with M&E activities of existing projects and provide input into project development where required.
Maintain confidentiality of all project‑related matters in accordance with guidelines. Support measures to mitigate fraud or misuse of project resources and help monitor the integrity of records containing individual data.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience; or,
Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Development, Law and/or International Relations or similar fields from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.
Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Experience supporting monitoring and evaluation activities.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality while performing responsibilities.
Strong work ethic, ability to follow procedures clearly, and to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a multi‑cultural environment.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Previous work experience in an international organization or NGO would be an advantage.
Skills
Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and protocols.
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills with an attention to detail.
Ability to collect, organize, and summarize information accurately.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher.
Languages
Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
Working knowledge of any UN language is an advantage.
IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish. Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

The selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty stations. Recommended candidates remain eligible for a similar position for a period of 24 months.
The post is subject to local recruitment. Only those holding a valid residence and work permit for the country where this position is based will be eligible for consideration. The initial contract may be for a duration shorter than one year, in order to align with the work permit expiry date.
Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, verification of residency, visa, and authorizations by the concerned government where applicable.
