Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement supply planning strategies to ensure seamless supply of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Raw Starting Materials (RSMs).

Manage global demand forecasts and supply plans for assigned APIs, preventing market stock-outs.
">
Convert demand forecasts into delivery schedules aligned with supply agreements, ensuring timely purchase order placements and effective communication with internal and external manufacturing sites.
">
Lead monthly review meetings with internal and external receiving sites to monitor demand forecast changes, frozen and firm time fences, escalating issues to the API governance forum as needed.
">
Identify and proactively address potential supply risks arising from forecast fluctuations or supplier constraints.
">
Recommend and implement preventive, corrective, or mitigating actions, including root cause analysis and resolution timelines, in collaboration with procurement team and other stakeholders.
">
Monitor and expedite API deliveries, transit, and local release to ensure availability at receiving sites.
">
Conduct periodic supply review meetings with major suppliers and key stakeholders to develop mid- and long-term supply plans supporting business growth.
">
Drive strategic initiatives to develop and implement best practices across the procurement lifecycle, engaging stakeholders to foster continuous process improvements.
">
Represent the API planning team in process improvement projects, promoting best practices throughout the supply chain to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
">
Support finance services in resolving payment-related issues.
">
Manage API product data in SAP, including financial flows, supplier capacity, lead times, transit times, purchase units, and potency/yield.
">
Ensure timely and accurate system setup for new or updated API products in coordination with relevant support functions.
">
Generate and analyze periodic reports on supply performance and inventory status, including Monthly Inventory Reconciliation Reports and distressed inventory review, recommending mitigation plans as necessary.
">
Monitor current and projected API inventory levels at internal and external sites to detect and mitigate potential shortages or oversupply.
">
Lead and manage tolling activities with suppliers, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
">
Engage proactively in annual budgeting exercises to align forecasted API volumes with financial plans.
">
Participate in new API source development projects alongside regulatory, quality, technology, external supply, internal sites, and strategic sourcing teams, providing supply and inventory insights to ensure uninterrupted supply.
">
Support monthly reconciliation reviews with finance to ensure SOX compliance and timely submissions.
">
Coordinate monthly inventory and tolling report consolidations with the API planning team, preparing summary reports for review.
">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field; equivalent practical experience also considered.
">
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a supply planning role and supply chain operations, ideally in the pharmaceutical, animal health, or similar regulated industry.
">
Advanced analytical capabilities with experience in inventory modeling, reporting, and forecasting.
">
Skilled in Excel, ERP systems (SAP & IBP preferred).
">
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for supply chain challenges.
">
Independent decision-making with a clear understanding of business impacts.
">
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple levels of the organization and drive decisions in complex environments.
">
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
">
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
