Civil Engineer Water Services We are seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our Water Services team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse and expanding portfolio of projects, including new builds, asset remediation, and the development of renewable energy infrastructure across Ireland and internationally. Our projects span buildings, power stations, electrical infrastructure, and major civil works such as dams. As part of our specialist team, you will contribute to: Delivering civil, drainage, and hydrological engineering services across multiple project stages. Designing surface water drainage systems in both urban and rural environments, incorporating Sustainable Drainage Systems Conducting Flood Risk Assessments and hydrological studies Key Responsibilities Champion safety and quality across all project activities. Provide civil, drainage, and water engineering expertise from concept and detailed design through procurement and project delivery. Manage and coordinate civil, drainage, and water engineering tasks, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule, including oversight of civil works contracts. Undertake site inspections, organise surveys, interpret findings, and produce effective drainage system designs. Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and ensure client satisfaction. Ensure compliance with planning permissions and licensing requirements, and liaise with statutory authorities and other key stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Chartered status is an advantage. Minimum of 7 years relevant experience. Strong technical background in civil, drainage, and water engineering design, with the ability to deliver complete engineering packages. Proficiency in specialist hydrological, hydraulic, or drainage modelling software. Experience in managing surface water and/or groundwater contamination is desirable. Proven ability to assess, communicate, and manage critical project technical risks. Track record of successfully managing significant projects or major project elements. Strong report-writing skills. A proactive, solutions-focused approach when working with internal teams and external stakeholders. Experience performing PSDP/PD roles on projects.
