Are you ready to challenge the boundaries of what's possible? AECOM continues to expand their successful and established Infrastructure Development team in Ireland and requires a Principal Engineer to join the Dublin, Galway or Cork office in Ireland.

Our current portfolio of work comprises a diverse mix of local and national development and civil infrastructure projects at all stages, from Feasibility through to Detailed Design and Construction.
Responsibilities
* Deliver: Provide high quality civil engineering support and services to all project stages from feasibility through to Detailed Design and Construction for a diverse range of clients.
* Oversee: Take ownership of project-stage tasks, work with other design team members, provide guidance to entry-level engineers, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering designs within programme and budget.
* Provide Expertise: Offer technical knowledge on multi-disciplinary projects, particularly drainage design, from conceptual phases to implementation.
* Ensure Quality: Follow AECOM QA/QC procedures, provide early warning on risks related to programme and budget, and work with clients to overcome challenges.
* Collaborate: Work with internal and external multi-disciplinary engineers and stakeholders to deliver integrated designs and build effective relationships for project success.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Chartered or working towards Chartered status with the Institution of Engineers of Ireland or Institution of Civil Engineers or relevant Institution.
* Relevant work experience in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure from inception to handover including SUDs, water main distribution pipelines, storm and foul networks, surface water analysis, flood risk assessments, highway/pavement design, earthworks modelling, and knowledge of DMRB/DMURS.
* Experience using software such as Microdrainage or InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
* Experience in multidisciplinary design teams and liaising with architects, planning consultants, and external consultants.
* Experience in site inspections, test witnessing, and responding to technical RFIs during construction.
