We’re working with a client seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to play a key role in designing and delivering robust, scalable, and secure solutions across a hybrid cloud environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape architecture strategy while working across a broad range of technologies and business domains.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient architectures across both cloud and on-premise environments, aligned with business and strategic objectives.
Architect and implement solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including (but not limited to) Azure Functions, Containers, Azure App Service, and Azure SQL.
Collaborate closely with Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics, Business Applications, and development teams to define solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to architectural standards and security policies.
Establish, maintain, and enforce architecture principles, standards, and templates, ensuring consistency through the solution lifecycle.
Produce clear, structured documentation covering system architecture, component design, interfaces, and data flows.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative tools and approaches to enhance capability, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and expectations.
Perform regular architecture reviews to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement of architecture processes, including the development of reusable reference architectures.
Ensure any deviations from established technology strategy or standards are clearly identified, managed, and communicated.
Experience Required
5–7+ years’ experience in an Architecture role, with a minimum of 3 years focused on Azure cloud environments.
Strong track record of delivering solution designs and providing technical leadership across delivery teams.
Relevant architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Key Skills & Expertise
Deep understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS services and how to apply them to build best-in-class solutions.
Broad technical knowledge spanning application integration, data platforms, infrastructure, and networking.
Experience working within complex, highly integrated hybrid cloud environments.
Proven ability to bring together multiple technologies into cohesive, effective solution architectures.
Strong architectural mindset with an appreciation for aligning solutions to broader technology strategy.
Ability to advocate for architecture best practices and effectively communicate their value to stakeholders.
Comfortable balancing long-term strategic thinking with short-term delivery needs and constraints.
