We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person to manage day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks across our Cork City Centre hospitality complex, which includes The Flying Enterprise, The Courtyard, and associated areas. The ideal candidate will have a practical background in general maintenance, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to respond quickly to issues in a busy operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the premises (bar, restaurant, outdoor areas, storage, etc.).
* Perform routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, lighting, and equipment.
* Handle basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting tasks as needed.
* Maintain outdoor areas, cleaning, minor landscaping & signage upkeep.
* Support the management team during refurbishments or upgrades.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management or staff.
* Oversee external contractors and ensure safe work practices on-site.
* Ensure all maintenance work complies with health & safety standards.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance work and schedules.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role (hospitality, facilities, or property maintenance).
* Strong hands-on skills in general repairs, painting, plumbing, or carpentry.
* Good understanding of health, safety, and compliance.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
* Physically fit and comfortable working at height or outdoors when required.
* Flexible and reliable, available for occasional emergency call-outs.
* Full clean driver's licence an advantage but not essential.
