The dental nurse will work in close partnership with the dental team, take instruction from the dentist and practice manager, and have the ability to take ownership and responsibility for clinical policies and procedures in the practice; as set out by Dental Care Ireland and other regulatory bodies, including the Dental Council of Ireland.Tasks/ResponsibilitiesDental NursingWorking closely with the dentist, providing chair side assistance to ensure the professional, accurate and timely completion of treatments and relevant records as required for patient care.Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate, according to the practice's health and safety policy, manufacturers' instructions and the Code of Practice relating to infection control as set out by the Dental Council of Ireland.Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained for the smooth running of the practice, and inform appointed staff member when stock levels diminish.Liaise with reception team to ensure smooth patient communication and transfer of records.Work with the practice manager to assist in training new members of the clinical support team as and when required.Working with the practice manager in handling and resolving patient complaints, if they arise in line with company guidelines.Essential1+year Dental Nursing experience essential.Authorised to work in Ireland.Leaving Certificate or equivalent.Fluent in written and oral English.Dental Care Ireland aims to create a culture and working climate which encourages the commitment and motivation of all staff, we are an equal opportunity employer and committed to providing a workplace that is free from discrimination of all types.
