Role Purpose

The Data Analyst - Operations provides actionable insights that drive operational performance and inform strategies that optimise operations across manufacturing, product portfolio and supply chain. This role develops the dashboard, reports and recommendations to support Operations' strategic decision making and enables the operational leadership to focus on effective and impactful execution.

Role Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using suitable tools or platforms that support operations decision-making in S&OP and integrated business planning. This includes defining the data requirements of the Operations function, establishing consistent ways of working with data, and ensuring reporting outputs are aligned with business needs and planning cycles.
* Extract, cleanse, transform and analyse data from multiple sources (e.g., SAP, MES)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify the data needs and translate these into tailored dashboard reports, establishing formats and frequencies to support timely and informed decision-making.
* Develop, monitor and report on key KPIs, early alerts and risk mitigation across raw materials, production, finished goods, warehouse, and stockholding.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights that drive process improvements, investment decisions, product portfolio and cost reductions.
* Perform root cause analysis of issues within Operations using advanced data analytics.
* Support production planning, manufacturing, warehouse, and production scheduling with predictive and scenario-based modelling.
* Cleanse, structure, and analyse large data sets using advanced Excel functions and other tools to visualise data.
* Identification of and drive to resolve issues that exist within the master data.
* Utilise effective storytelling with data to communicate key information to stakeholders to support business processes.

Skills & Experience

* 3-5 years of experience in a data analytics role within manufacturing or supply chain within the FMCG.
* Demonstrable proficiency in PowerBI or SAP Analytics Cloud, Advanced Excel.
* Knowledge of data governance frameworks and demonstrable experience in delivering data artifacts such as data lineage, data catalogues and schema design.
* Demonstrable experience with SAP S/4 or ECC and IBP (MM, PP, Basis or Data Migration) or MES systems.
* Experience of MS Fabric or SAP Datasphere
* Strong data visualisation and data storytelling skills.
* Familiarity with LEAN principles and Sales & Operations Planning business process.
* Strong business acumen with the ability to identify relevant data needs by understanding how cross-functional drivers impact Operations.
* Experience working within a matrix organisation
* Exposure to predictive analytics and scenario modelling.

Qualifications & Certifications

* Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics or related field. (
5+ years of highly relevant demonstrable experience and technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualification
)
* Relevant certifications in Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud or other Data analytics tools are advantageous.
