The project is the redevelopment of a nationally significant cultural building, including a large-scale contemporary extension alongside the careful restoration of an 18th-century structure. Designed by a leading architectural practice, this is a technically complex, high-profile scheme and a standout project to have on your CV.The RoleWorking closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, the MEP Coordinator will take ownership of all mechanical and electrical coordination activities on site, ensuring seamless integration of services within a challenging refurbishment and new-build environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage all MEP works on site, from installation through to commissioning and handoverLiaise closely with MEP subcontractors, design teams, consultants, and the main project teamReview and coordinate MEP drawings, specifications, and technical submittalsEnsure services installations align with the construction programme and sequencingMonitor quality, compliance, and installation standards across all MEP packagesSupport testing, commissioning, and handover documentationIdentify and resolve clashes and coordination issues in collaboration with the design teamMaintain strong focus on health & safety and quality standardsRequirementsBackground in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services EngineeringPrevious experience in an MEP coordination role with a main contractor or specialist subcontractorExperience on large-scale commercial, public, or complex refurbishment projects is highly desirableStrong technical understanding of building services coordinationExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-quality delivery environment
