Post Office Manager – Co. Kilkenny
Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Post Office Manager for our client's Post Office located within their convenience store in Co. Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused individual with previous Post Office or retail management experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the Post Office while delivering outstanding service to the local community.
Salary: €17 – €18 per hour
Responsibilities
1. Manage the daily operations of the Post Office, ensuring efficiency and compliance with An Post procedures and regulations
2. Provide excellent customer service and handle customer queries and transactions in a professional manner
3. Supervise, train, and motivate team members to maintain high service standards
4. Oversee cash management, including lodgements, reconciliations, and daily balancing
5. Ensure all financial transactions and documentation are accurate and compliant with company and An Post requirements
6. Monitor performance against targets and identify opportunities to improve customer experience and service delivery
7. Maintain a secure working environment, adhering to all security and data protection policies
Requirements
8. Previous experience in a Post Office environment or similar customer service/financial operations role
9. Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team
10. Excellent customer service and communication skills
11. Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy and administrative abilities
12. Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of handling high-value transactions securely
13. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
14. Experience with An Post systems or similar financial systems is highly desirable
