The Leinster Hockey Board is a volunteer led organisation and is responsible for the governance of hockey in Leinster, ensuring the delivery of our Mission, Core Values and Strategy. We are seeking to further strengthen the skill set and gender balance with the Board. As a director, you have input into the delivery of our strategy and will contribute with insight and experience at meetings.
As Leinster Hockey undergoes a period of transformation, we are now seeking a Director of Commercial and Marketing. Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Marketing & Digital: Promote Leinster Hockey to enhance its profile and visibility. Provide oversight of Leinster Hockey’s social, digital and website content output, including the development of engaging, modern, fit-for-purpose content platformsincorporating the association’s owned social media channels and website. Supportand helps to develop the wider content ecosystem of hockey in the province of Leinster.
* Marketing Planning: Oversee the delivery of Leinster Hockey’s Strategic Plans with specific responsibility for Communications, Marketing and Commercial objectives. Create comprehensive marketing and communications plans and campaigns to enhance the organisation’s reputation and deliver on its overall targets.
* Event Marketing: Create a clear plan and process to support and deliver the marketing and communication of Leinster Hockey’s annual calendar of competitions and events.
* Brand & Design: Ensure that Leinster Hockey’s brand is effectively portrayed across all marketing communications platforms.
* Commercial & Sponsorship: Oversee the implementation of Leinster Hockey’s commercial, sponsorship and marketing strategies. Collaborate with the Leinster Hockey board of directors and Leinster Hockey General Manager to source and negotiate new commercial partnerships that will generate new revenue streams for Leinster Hockey using existing and new assets.
* Partner Marketing: Support and develop co-marketing opportunities with Leinster Hockey sponsors.
* Relationship Management: Foster productive relationships with marketing, communications and sponsorship contacts in Leinster Hockey’s funding bodies including but not limited to Hockey Ireland.
* Grassroots & Community Engagement: Develop of a consistent approach to the growth of, and interaction with Leinster Hockey clubs. Audiences will include club volunteers, players, spectators, umpires and coaches.
* PR & Media: Develop strong and productive relations with key Irish media, working closely with the board of Leinster Hockey in supporting this key area of the association’s activity. Draft and distribute press releases, landing media coverage for key media moments in the Leinster Hockey Association calendar year.
* Data Management: Implement and manage a robust data process for marketing
