The Qualified Electrician will carry out electrical installation, testing, and commissioning works on modular data centre units manufactured at Cental's facility. This role is directly linked to a major ongoing data centre project, and while the position is primarily based in Carlow, it may involve site visits to Dublin. The successful candidate will work to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality, ensuring all electrical works meet regulatory requirements and client specifications.
This position will be hired on a fixed-term basis, with the potential to become permanent dependent on future project demands.
Job Responsibilities
* Install containment systems (tray, trunking, conduit, ladders) to drawing.
* Wire and terminate electrical components including distribution boards, LV panels, lighting systems, HVAC connections, and power supplies.
* Install and connect generators, UPS systems, PDUs, busbar systems, and other data-centre-specific equipment.
* Carry out cable pulling, crimping, glanding, and termination to a high standard.
* Conduct testing and inspection of electrical installations in accordance with ETCI/IS 10101 standards.
* Complete electrical certification and documentation accurately.
* Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and method statements.
* Work safely in accordance with Cental procedures and legislative requirements.
* Collaborate with welders, fabricators, engineers, and supervisors.

* Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring practices.

* Experience in modular builds or offsite construction.
* Previous data centre project experience.
