I'm partnering with a fast-growing renewable energy developer in Ireland that is expanding its onshore wind, solar, and battery energy storage (BESS) portfolio. They are now seeking a talented Planning Project Manager to play a key role in shaping Ireland's clean energy transition.The RoleReporting to the Head of Planning, you will manage the planning process across a portfolio of 30+ renewable energy projects. This role involves overseeing multidisciplinary consultant teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality EIAs and planning applications. You'll work closely with internal teams, local authorities, and external specialists to progress projects efficiently, compliantly, and strategically.Key Responsibilities• Lead and manage EIA and ER planning applications, ensuring high-quality documentation• Coordinate specialist consultants across ecology, engineering, hydrology, geology, archaeology, noise, and landscape/visual• Support early-stage projects with planning and environmental strategy input• Manage EIA budgets and evaluate consultant proposals• Track project milestones and ensure timely delivery of planning outputsSkills & Competencies• Strong experience reviewing EIAs and planning applications• Comprehensive knowledge of Irish planning law, environmental policy, and procedures• Excellent analytical, reporting, and record-keeping skills• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite• Full driving licence and willingness to visit sites occasionally• Ability to work independently and remotelyQualifications & Experience• Minimum Level 7 degree in Planning, Town Planning, or a related discipline• Approximately 6-8 years'+ planning experience (renewables experience highly advantageous)• Background in development or local authority planning preferred
