Finance Role
The role of a finance assistant is multifaceted, encompassing various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of a business.
Main Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Invoices from suppliers are allocated to purchase orders and delivery dockets. Supplier invoices are processed, and monthly payment runs are executed. Daily cash sales are recorded and reconciled, as well as bank statements. Customer invoices are generated, and supplier and customer account reconciliations are performed weekly.
• Finance Management: Record project job hours and materials used per contract/job. Generate monthly invoices and quotes for customers. Manage health and safety procedures, including RAMS. Oversee fleet management: motor tax, VRT, service, and insurance. Implement efficient workflows and procedures. Maintain stock levels on the EPOS system by reviewing budgets, sales, and margins. Order stock from suppliers and communicate regarding stock issues.
Requirements:
• Experience: 7 years in a similar role
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills required
• Skills: Month-end accounts payable, accounts receivable, accountant VAT
