I'm working exclusively with a leading and rapidly growing asset manager based in Dublin to help them hire a Junior Quantitative Analyst. The Role:
As a Junior Quantitative Analyst, you’ll work closely with the investment team across a variety of projects involving portfolio analysis, systematic strategy development, and model implementation. You’ll also play a key role in enhancing data processes and helping the team leverage large financial datasets to drive investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the execution and implementation of trades
2. Assisting with monthly reporting: portfolio positioning, performance, and risk analytics
3. Developing and testing systematic investment strategies
4. Conducting statistical and quantitative analysis of asset pricing, risk, and returns
5. Back testing trading signals using historical market data
6. Automating and enhancing data processes for investment decision-making
7. Building proprietary quant models and analytical tools
8. Identifying inefficiencies and opportunities using large, complex datasets
9. Improving workflows through automation and model optimization
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
2. High attention to detail and ability to multitask
3. Exposure to Python and/or SQL (or an eagerness to learn)
4. A genuine interest in financial markets and quantitative investing
5. A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently
6. Collaborative team player
7. Prior experience (internships or 1–2 years) in asset management, trading, or financial data analysis is a plus, but not essential
