Job Overview
The Assistant Catering Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional service delivery across the healthcare environment. This role oversees day-to-day operations across various departments, including patient meals, main kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, and coffee dock services.
This position will lead, motivate, and support catering supervisors and frontline teams to maintain food safety, hygiene, FOG, and regulatory compliance at all times. Operational efficiency, quality improvement, and service innovation are key objectives, as well as assisting in budgeting, procurement, and cost-effective resource management.
This role also involves supporting HR functions, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, rostering, championing health and safety, and continuous staff development. Additionally, accurate documentation of HR, training, audit, and financial records is required.

Requirements
* Honours degree in a relevant field or minimum 5 years management experience in a healthcare/hospitality setting
* Detailed working knowledge of Food Safety & Food Safety Systems (IS340 and ISO22000)
* Experience in HR matters, including rostering, recruitment, and finance
* Strong people leader with hands-on hospitality or healthcare catering experience
* Proven background in compliance, audits, HACCP, and service excellence
