COMMISSIONING ENGINEER An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist controls and automation organisation delivering projects across data centre and pharmaceutical environments. This role is based in Dublin, with a mix of Ireland-based work (approx. 60%) and international travel (approx. 40%), offering strong earning potential and long-term career progression. THE COMPANY: Our client operates within the building management systems and automation sector, delivering high-performance BMS solutions for critical environments where reliability and compliance are essential. They support projects from design through to commissioning and handover across Ireland and internationally. THE ROLE: The BMS Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for commissioning and optimising BMS systems on complex, technically demanding projects. Key responsibilities include: Commissioning BMS systems in data centre and pharmaceutical facilities. Carrying out point-to-point checks, functional testing, and full system commissioning. Troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues during commissioning. Supporting service and maintenance activities where required. Working closely with project engineers, site teams, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery. Producing commissioning documentation, test results, and handover packs. Ensuring all works are completed in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards. THE PERSON: Our client is seeking candidates who: Have proven experience commissioning BMS or building control systems. Alternatively, have strong experience in BMS service and maintenance with commissioning exposure. Are comfortable working in data centre and pharmaceutical environments. Can fault-find across BMS hardware, software, and field devices. Can read and interpret control strategies, drawings, and schematics. Hold relevant electrical, controls, or automation qualifications. Are flexible and willing to travel internationally.
