Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Private Equity Fund Accounting to oversee client service delivery and ensure adherence to agreed standards. This role involves formulating and implementing key client service programs, liaising internally with operational areas, visiting clients to evaluate service quality, and managing escalations and complaints within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee client service delivery and monitor service provision to agreed standards for key clients.
* Formulate and implement key client service programs to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Liaise internally with all operational areas to ensure awareness of all key client requirements and provide excellent communication skills.
* Visit clients on a periodic basis to evaluate service quality and identify client priorities and make recommendations for improvement.
* Assist in the resolution of complex client issues and provide timely support to resolve problems.
* Manage escalations and complaints within the team and department, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
* Manage, train, and assist assigned Account Managers in the successful running of their teams, providing guidance and mentorship.
* Participate in the review of procedures and policies to ensure adherence to these procedures and maintain high standards.
* Participate in client conference calls and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:
* A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline, or professional accounting designation (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
* At least 7-10 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably with exposure to Product Control, Operations, or Fund Accounting environments within Private Equity.
* Strong technical knowledge of Private Equity Fund Accounting principles and practices.
* Skills in negotiation, business planning, budgeting, margin analysis, rating agency relations, and technical accounting.
* Familiarity with Investran or other Private Equity software packages is highly advantageous.
* Experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing business processes and projects.
* Knowledge of International GAAP/IFRS Accounting Principles.
* Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience.
* Superior written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
