RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.We are Hiringan Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to a leading Nursing home in Clare, Ireland.Permanent/full timeKey ResponsibilitiesConduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and action plansLead staff induction programmes and support ongoing training and development initiativesEncourage and promote innovative practices in care deliveryEnsure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and HIQA standardsOrganise and facilitate regular communication meetings with clinical staffBuild strong relationships with external community agencies and support resident participation in local activitiesCollaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Home’s profile within the local communityImplement and monitor the Company Health & Safety Policy to protect staff, residents, and visitorsCoordinate regular fire training sessions and maintain effective evacuation proceduresMaintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the HomeEnsure a preventative maintenance programme is in place and effectively managedParticipate in recruitment, including interviewing and selection of staffConduct regular training needs analysis to support staff developmentProvide cover for the Director of Nursing when requiredEnsure clinical practices within the Home meet all relevant regulations and standardsRequirementsRegistered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ management experience within the last 6 years, specifically in the care of older personsPost-registration qualification in management, healthcare, or a related fieldProven track record in clinical management within a healthcare environmentStrong leadership, organisational, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver resultsAbility to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environmentFlexible and adaptable, with a willingness to meet the evolving needs of the organisation
