Job Description:
The Metropole Hotel is looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager to join the Senior Management Team.
Reports to: Group F&B Manager/General Manager

Under the general guidance of the General Manager, assess, evaluate, and ensure that long-term and short-term goals of all Food & Beverage outlets are met. To direct and manage all food & beverage activities across the outlets to maximize revenue, profitability, and quality goals by developing and executing marketing strategies, up-selling strategies, controlling costs, and providing quality service and products to guests. All work will be in line with the hotel's guidelines and business plan, and the hotel's corporate guidelines and service concepts.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Assess, Evaluate, and Ensure Food & Beverage Goals are Met
* Assist with developing, implementing, and evaluating a business plan and strategies to ensure guest satisfaction, sales maximization, and profitability.
* Monitor industry trends and practices to keep the hotel's food & beverage operations competitive.
* Conduct weekly inspections of food & beverage regions, recommend preventive maintenance, and ensure facilities are well-maintained.
* Participate in staff recognition, advertising, and promotional programs to increase market awareness.
* Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
* Review reservation and guest lists to ensure VIP guests are acknowledged.
* Be proficient in all food & beverage procedures to serve as a resource.
* Challenge employees to achieve optimal food costs and service levels.
* Control and analyze departmental costs, taking corrective actions as needed.
* Regularly audit food & beverage services and develop improvement strategies.
* Coordinate activities with the Head Chef and Sales & Marketing Director.
Direct and Manage Food & Beverage Department

* Use leadership skills to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction.
* Monitor overall service quality and teamwork daily.
* Develop strategies to improve guest service, food production, and efficiency.
* Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions.
* Coordinate menu pricing considering local requirements, market needs, competition, trends, costs, and promotions.
* Maintain an updated recipe file with costs and production times.
* Assist in preparing the food & beverage business plan and strategies to increase sales.
