The successful candidate will be responsible for providing delivery of effective, recovery orientated, high quality, team based, integrated care for children who are under 16 years of age, as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Benefits: Excellent company Pension Health Insurance Death in service Income Protection Role Purpose Provide a specialist nurse service for children and adolescences attending the Paediatric ADHD Services in Vhi under the governance structure in place within the Service. Education & Experience Be registered on the Children's Division and/or the General Division of the register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be eligible to so register. Be registered in the Psychiatric Division of the register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be eligible to so register. 5 years post registration experience of which a minimum is 2 years in the specialty. Demonstrated alignment to Vhi Values Skills and Abilities Assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate treatment / intervention programmes for patients of the service using best evidence practice in child and adolescent ADHD care. Maintain documentation in accordance with department and professional standards. Participate in medication reconciliation including medication reviews and medication management with appropriate governance. Complete audit relevant to the area of practice. Demonstrate clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice appropriate to carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the role in line with relevant legislation and standards. Can practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice.
