Data Analyst Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a suitably skilled Data Analyst to join their team.
The duration of this post is 12 months initially with possible extensions thereafter.
This role is based in Limerick.
Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €***** per hour based on an annualised salary of €60,013.
You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays.
Role Description: In order to meet data processing and analytics requirements, design and create SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
To make SQL Server code for data extraction, transformation, and loading operations as efficient as possible, collaborating closely with senior data engineers.
Design and maintain data models in conjunction with the data engineering team to ensure consistency and integrity of the data.
Create and keep up with documentation for database schemas, data models, and SQL code.
Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in Azure.
Work together with senior data engineers and analysts to understand the needs for data and create effective data workflows.
Utilizing Azure Data Factory to create and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations.
Implementing data validation and cleansing procedures to ensure the quality, integrity, and dependability of the data.
Improve the scalability and efficiency of data pipelines.
Monitoring and resolving data pipeline problems to guarantee consistency and availability of the data.
Optimisation of queries for performance and index usage Required: Proficiency in SQL, with experience in querying and manipulating databases and writing complex SQL queries/views/functions.
Cloud platform experience, preference Azure and ADF Proficiency in preparing data for Power BI reporting Optional/Desired: Azure Databricks/Python experience Familiar with Python data science libraries- pandas, NumPy, Matlot and Seaborn Azure Devops Experience in Agile project management environment Business Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
