The IBTS is currently recruiting a part-time, permanent/temporary Registered Nurse based in the Nursing Department, Cork Centre.
Overview
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) operates nurse-led collection clinics, managed by a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM). The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) on the Hybrid clinic team is to work with the CNM to support IBTS strategic priorities, achieve operational excellence, improve the donor experience, and support better healthcare, while ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements.
Responsibilities
* Work with the CNM to support operational excellence, improve donor experience and ensure compliance with current legislative requirements.
* When required, act as CNM to lead the team.
* Practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Code of Practice and Scope of Practice and within the IBTS Quality System and Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
* Be registered with NMBI (live register) in any division.
* At least 2 years post-registration experience relevant to the role of the Registered Nurse in the IBTS.
* Demonstrate experience in managing people.
* Evidence of recent continuous professional development (CPD).
* Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proven IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook) and experience with electronic Patient Management / Learning Management systems.
* Full Driving Licence.
Salary
The salary scale attached to the post is the Enhanced Nurse scale €44,311 to €57,273 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum. Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience.
