Our Team
The Construction and Engineering team advises on projects across construction, energy, infrastructure and procurement, handling both contentious and non‑contentious matters from project origination through to completion.
Role and Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Dublin office and play a pivotal role in the Projects & Construction practice, working on complex transactions in commercial development, residential, infrastructure, transport and energy.
The Role Will Include
* Advising clients on a range of construction legal issues, including project procurement, project management, mid‑stream issues such as extensions of time, and other claim types; negotiating construction contracts and agreements related to project financing, development and construction elements of M&A transactions.
* Drafting and negotiating key contracts and agreements for various types of projects.
* Working on construction projects across Ireland (north and south) and internationally.
* Opportunity to work on some of Ireland’s largest and most complex construction projects, collaborating with large Irish and global clients from developers to contractors to funders.
Skills and Experience
* 3+ years PQE within a respected law firm or in‑house legal team, focusing on construction, infrastructure, and/or major projects.
* Experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts (e.g. RIAI, NEC, standard design appointments) and ancillary documents with a good understanding of market requirements.
* Experience advising clients throughout the lifecycle of a construction project.
* Strong people skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A client‑centric approach, with proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* An interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers on the team.
* Autonomy and the ability to lead on matters and work as a strong team member.
* Excellent communication, project management and attention to detail.
