Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and operational requirements across their client-facing solutions. This role is well suited to someone with deep SQL Server expertise and strong experience working with data warehouses and complex data processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server–based data processesCreate, optimise, and manage stored procedures, functions, and viewsBuild and support reliable ETL/ELT pipelines feeding enterprise data warehousesEnsure data quality, integrity, performance, and scalability across all data solutionsCollaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve data issues in production environmentsDocument data models, processes, and technical designsRequired Skills & ExperienceAdvanced knowledge of SQL Server, including performance tuning and query optimisationStrong experience developing and maintaining complex stored procedures and functionsSolid understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling, fact and dimension tables, SCDs, etc.)Hands-on experience building and supporting end-to-end data pipelinesStrong problem-solving skills and high attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple data processes simultaneouslyExperience with ETL tools or SQL-based data integration solutionsExposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)Familiarity with data governance, security, and best practicesExperience supporting BI or analytics platforms
