THE JOB: Reporting to the Line Manager the Community Support Worker will be responsible for the following duties: Welcome and greet new residents upon arrival Assess, and respond to residents, especially those with special reception needs. Work as part of the team to advocate for residents and their families. Liaise with external agencies i.e. Tusla, HSE, mental health services, disability services etc Support residents, especially those with special reception needs who may need additional assistance accessing services from both statutory and voluntary organisations. Support the implementation of National Standards for IPAS accommodation, including health and safety, risk management and safeguarding protocols. Deliver services in a way that places the wellbeing of all residents at the centre of what you do, with a particular focus on vulnerable children and adults, ensuring high-quality provision. Assist in the coordination of activities and programmes that promote social inclusion, integration, and wellbeing among residents. Participate in regular training and professional development in areas such as child protection, trauma-informed care, and intercultural awareness. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Mosney Village operations by providing feedback and suggestions to management. Ensure there is effective communication within the team regarding the requirements for the department. Maintain accurate digital records and files. Be proactive, use initiative and carry out other reasonable tasks as requested by management. Qualifications and Experience QQI level 7 qualification in social care, or equivalent. An understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals seeking international protection. Knowledge of the National Standards for accommodation services in Ireland. A strong understanding of Child and Adult Safe-guarding procedures. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and diverse resident community. Additional Information: This is a full-time permanent position which is subject to a six-month probation period. We need employees to be flexible about when they work.
