With the redevelopment and opening of our second nursing home this year, this position offers a rare opportunity to help modernise our finance function and contribute to shaping how we operate in the future - including leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance efficiency and reporting.

Key Responsibilities Transformation, Automation AI Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks using finance systems and AI-driven tools Use AI to support reporting, analysis, and data validation Contribute to the design of scalable, technology-enabled finance processes Support upcoming system upgrades and digital transformation projects Finance Operations Support AP/Procurement and AR functions Review and approve purchase orders Assist with Month End close and internal reporting Oversee resident billing and staff accommodation charges Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors Payroll Process Monthly Payroll and associated Revenue and legislative filing.
Maintain accurate records in Sage Micropay Validate time and attendance before payroll approval Support Month End and Year End payroll reporting Ensure compliance with taxation, pensions, and legislative requirements Candidate Requirements Part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 5+ years' experience in a similar finance role At least 1 year of hands-on payroll experience Strong Excel and IT ability Experience with (or strong interest in) AI-assisted finance tools, automation, or data analytics Experience with Sage Micropay or Sage 50 (an advantage) Who You Are Exceptionally accurate and detail-oriented Comfortable analysing data and improving processes Curious about new technologies and how AI can enhance finance operations Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills Able to work independently and collaborate effectively in a small team Thrive in a dynamic and growing environment Why Join Orwell Healthcare?
