Role Overview
The SHEQ Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality systems across two busy industrial sites in Shannon, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain accurate records of SHEQ-related documentation.
* Coordinate internal audits, risk assessments, and investigations to ensure compliance.
* Deliver safety inductions and basic training for new staff and visitors.
* Maintain systems for training and preventative maintenance.
* Support the implementation of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
* Review Safety Data Sheets according to ECHA guidelines.
* Monitor and update corrective actions on MAI systems.
* Procure lab materials, PPE, first aid kits, and labels as needed.
* Maintain vehicle records including ADR, CVRT, driver training, and data.
* Compile and publish SHEQ KPIs.
* Collaborate with customer service and production teams on certification, inspections, and documentation.
Requirements:
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience in a SHEQ role is desirable.
* Strong administrative and coordination skills are essential.
* A good working knowledge of ISO standards is required.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills are necessary.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is expected.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
* Flexibility to support multiple teams and sites is essential.
* A full driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
