Cornerstone works to safeguard, meet the needs of and promote the welfare of service users through the provision of quality services and advocacy.Senior Occupational Therapist1 x Full Time Post, 35 hours per weekSalay is commensurate with experience on the above scaleRoleTo carry out assessments and interventions, while working as a part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering a high-quality Housing First service in the Northwest of Ireland. Housing First is a model of housing that provides housing with wrap around supports to those who have been long- term homeless and who have a history of complex trauma and rough sleeping. The Senior OT role will require carrying out cognitive and function assessments and creating and implementing individualised care plans. Using a trauma informed approach to work one to one with individuals in their homes and the wider community, in supporting them with maintaining their homes, community integration and emotional regulation.LocationNorthwest Housing First is delivered across the region of the Northwest of Ireland, covering Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.Offices are based in Sligo town covering counties Sligo and Leitrim and Letterkenny town, covering county Donegal. Candidates can apply for either town as their primary base but would be required to carry out assessments regionally.Preferred location will need to be stated upon applicationThe service is currently provided Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. With the intention of the service being extended to Saturdays in the future.
