About the Position:
In this position, you will be responsible for enhancing HSEQ performance, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring legislative compliance across all levels of the organization.
* Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, promoting a culture of engagement and compliance with all HSEQ policies.
* Oversee and continuously improve the Integrated Management System to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
* Lead the development and implementation of new HSEQ initiatives to support ongoing performance enhancement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Conducting internal audits and inspections, managing corrective and preventative actions.
* Coordinating ISO and 45001 audit programmes and supporting external audit readiness with practical compliance solutions.
* Ensuring Health and Safety Plans are accurately prepared and aligned with project requirements.
* Carrying out regular site visits to verify the availability and suitability of safety equipment and documentation.
* Managing the reporting, recording, and investigation of incidents, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up.
* Liaising with legal representatives on Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims, supporting investigations as needed.
* Advising senior leadership on evolving HSEQ legislation and its implications for company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 3+ years of experience within a similar H&S role.
* Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH).
* Experience within the construction sector.
* Understanding of HSE legislation and regulations.
* Experience with ISO.
* Good communication skills.
* IT and numeracy skills (MS Office).
* A full clean driving license.
Desirable Qualifications:
IOSH Membership is desirable, as is a NEBOSH Diploma or Degree.
