My client is a leading telecom infrastructure organisation providing critical assets and solutions to Mobile Network Operators and connectivity providers across Europe. They are looking to add an experienced Sales Director to their Dublin management team to lead commercial growth in Ireland and play a key role in shaping their regional sales strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales for Europe, you will be responsible for driving the sales of products and services to existing and prospective customers, serving as the primary point of contact, and consistently achieving defined sales targets.
This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role with full ownership of the sales cycle from opportunity identification through to contract negotiation and relationship management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and the senior leadership team with a strong external focus on Mobile Network Operators and strategic tenants.
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue through new business acquisition and expansion of existing customer relationships. Acting as the primary commercial point of contact, you will develop a strong pipeline of opportunities, deliver accurate forecasts, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities with Mobile Network Operators (MNO's) and other prospective tenants
* Proactively market existing and upcoming assets within the assigned territory
* Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
* Negotiate and close long-term commercial agreements aligned with revenue objectives
* Maintain and grow strong, long-term customer relationships
* Develop and execute a territory-level commercial strategy aligned with budget targets
* Prepare proposals, presentations, and supporting sales materials
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to optimise deal execution
* Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and key commercial metrics
* Gather and share market intelligence to support pricing, acquisitions, and business planning
* Prepare and present sales, revenue, and expense reports, along with realistic forecasts, to senior management
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA a plus)
* 5 -10 years of proven success in B2B sales, ideally within telecoms/ infrastructure telecoms
* Strong experience negotiating complex, long-term commercial contracts
* Established telecom industry contacts and market knowledge preferred
* Results-oriented, highly motivated, and comfortable working in a individual contributor role
* Highly organised, disciplined, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills
