We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in Allcare, Glin.
Allcare support is a company which specialises in supporting Community Pharmacies to deliver excellent personalised care to their community. The Allcare Pharmacy group is a network of pharmacies throughout Ireland which strive for customer service excellence, focusing on providing expert medical care, advice, and value to patients and customers.
Purpose of Role:
To support the Managing Pharmacist in the dispensary in a busy environment, working within agreed procedures to maintain high ethical standards and deliver excellent customer care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accurately receive, record, and assemble prescriptions, issue receipts, and inform Pharmacists of any changes or interactions.
* Serve customers with over-the-counter medicines and other products.
* Fulfill requests for over-the-counter medicines using WWHAM questioning and recommend suitable medicines, referring to the Pharmacist when appropriate.
* Maintain computer records and ensure paperwork for schemes is up to date and in line with company procedures.
* Promptly report errors or safety issues to the Managing Pharmacist or Business Territory Manager.
* Maintain good stock control, including rotation, appropriate levels, correct suppliers, and accurate delivery details.
* Keep the pharmacy clean and tidy, addressing health and safety issues promptly.
* Follow pharmacy SOPs, maintaining professional standards.
* Assist with over-the-counter sales and front-of-counter duties.
* Perform any other duties as required.

* Support other stakeholders within the pharmacy and across the Allcare network to achieve company goals.

* Maintain good relationships with colleagues, customers, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
* IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies.
* Preferably 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good organizational skills for multitasking in a busy environment.
* Cashier experience is an advantage.
* Discretion and confidentiality in handling customer/patient information.
