A global IT multinational is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its EMEA Controller function in Dublin. This contract position supports a broad portfolio of legal entities across multiple jurisdictions, with exposure to complex financial reporting, statutory compliance, and high-impact project work.The ideal candidate will be a fluent Spanish or Portuguese speaker, a qualified accountant, and someone with experience working in large, fast-paced organisations. This is a strong opportunity for a high-performing finance professional looking to gain further international exposure and develop within a sophisticated corporate environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns.Manage statutory financial statement processes.Assist with planning and coordination of statutory audits.Review deliverables prepared by outsourced partners.Support testing and roll-out of financial reporting tools and processes.Lead or contribute to process improvement projects aimed at operational scalability.Work across a large portfolio of EMEA legal entities.RequirementsRecognised accounting qualification.0–2 years post-qualification experience (+4 to +6 years total professional experience desirable).Experience in large or multinational environments.Strong knowledge of Excel; understanding of US GAAP and local GAAP is desirable.Strong analytical, planning, and stakeholder management skills.Confident operating within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.Highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)Fluent Spanish or Portuguese speaker.Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with training or background in auditing.Experience working in a large company with multiple stakeholders.Nice to HaveAbility to network and engage effectively with stakeholders at different levels.Interest or experience in the use of AI in finance.Experience in professional services.
