Windmill Healthcare are now recruiting a Domestic Supervisor to join our team at Ferbane Care Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our care home.Role OverviewAs Domestic Supervisor, you will oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring that all cleaning duties are carried out effectively and efficiently in line with Ferbane Care Centre's policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will also actively contribute to the cleaning schedule while supervising, training, and supporting the domestic staff.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesAudit and monitor cleanliness across the nursing home, reporting concerns daily to the Director of Nursing (DON).Supervise domestic staff on a day-to-day basis while carrying out your own cleaning duties.Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control throughout the Care Centre.Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, COSHH regulations, and Ferbane Care Centre policies.Provide induction and training for new staff, ensuring procedures and best practices are followed.Plan, supervise, and participate in scheduled deep cleans.Manage cleaning supplies, including stock control, ordering, and economical use of resources.Oversee and update training for the housekeeping team.Ensure cleaning rotas respect resident dignity, privacy, and independence.Report and follow up on maintenance issues and equipment repairs.Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and visitors at all times.Experience & RequirementsMinimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, healthcare, or housekeeping (essential).Previous experience in a healthcare environment (advantage).Excellent communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills.Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.Knowledge of:COSHH regulationsHealth & Safety legislationManual Handling (with annual updates)Fluent written and spoken English.A passion for excellence in care and service.What We OfferGuaranteed hoursFree Garda vettingComprehensive induction training & ongoing professional developmentOpportunities for career progressionFree on-site parkingBe part of our story - Apply Today
