Job Role Overview
The Safety Engineer plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe working environment, free from accidents and health risks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct risk assessments, machine safety evaluations, and conduct joint safety analyses across all operations.
* Support the team in environmental health and safety management and execute new projects and programs effectively.
* Provide strategic direction and advice to site leaders on relevant national and EU legislation, machinery safety standards, and best available techniques.
* Offer technical expertise for change management processes, including equipment modifications.
* Provide safety input to facility design, construction, and process equipment.
* Develop and implement corporate safety systems focusing on process safety management, hazards analysis, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, and incident reporting.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Lead and support incident investigations.
* Recommend corrective actions.
* Participate in security protocol development and implementation.
* Engage in pre-start-up reviews, auditing, site inspections, and walkdowns.
* Support the development of safe systems of work for manufacturing and maintenance operations.
* Deliver EHS training to personnel onsite.
* Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement.
