Key Responsibilities:
* Legislation and Compliance
Stay up-to-date with relevant health and safety legislation, ensuring site management is informed of any changes or updates.
* Safe Working Environment
Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing current health and safety legislation, best practices, and approved codes of practice (ACOP).
* Environmental Legislation
Ensure compliance with current environmental legislation, best practices, and approved codes of practice, preventing negative impacts on the environment.
* Risk Assessment and Safe Systems
Manage the risk assessment and safe systems process, ensuring regular reviews with supervisors and managers in line with business standards and current legislation.
* Induction Programme
Deliver the site Health & Safety induction programme for new starters, contractors, and visitors.
* Near Miss and Accident Reporting
Manage near miss and accident reporting processes for health and safety and the environment, investigating incidents and recording them in line with business standards.
* Corrective Actions
Implement corrective actions established during incident investigations within agreed timescales.
* Health, Safety, and Environmental Documentation
Maintain current, compliant, and up-to-date health, safety, and environmental documentation, identifying underlying core issues/risks and engaging site teams.
