A full- time Occupational Health Technician– Carrickmines ( Mobile Unit)

We are seeking an Occupational Health Technician to deliver a comprehensive range of Occupational Health and Wellbeing services. This is a mobile role supporting a range of clients, delivering health surveillance services using a fully equipped mobile medical unit.
A unique role with great autonomy this role requires someone willing to travel throughout Ireland. The role will have a base in the Optima Health Carrickmines Clinic but will be required to provide cover across client sites to meet operational needs.
Main responsibilities:
Operate and drive a mobile screening unit to client sites and carry out core health surveillance, including:
· Audiometry and lung function testing
· Baseline checks such as height, weight, BP and urinalysis
· Recording accurate clinical data for the wider OH team
· Ensure all medical equipment is calibrated and safety tested
· Supporting health promotion and wider wellbeing activities
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
· Work in collaboration with all members of the OH Team
· Solid understanding of GDPR
· Manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with service objectives and clinical standards.
You'll be fully supported with a structured training and induction programme, plus ongoing mentoring to help you grow your skills and confidence.

* Army Medic
* Sports Science graduates with experience in baseline measurements strong organisation and the ability to manage your own workload are essential
* Full Clean Drivers Licence

Education/Experience:
The ideal candidates will:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Health Sciences, Public Health, Occupational Health, or a related discipline)
· Experience in a clinical, paramedical, health & wellbeing, or occupational health
setting
· Strong proficiency in IT Skills like Microsoft 365.
· Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
· Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a professional healthcare
Setting
· Competency in Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision screening, phlebotomy, VDU ergonomics
Note : willingness to drive the mobile unit is essential. The mobile unit can be driven on a regular driving licence.
