About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Design & Sales Advisor to join our showroom team. This role is perfect for someone who combines strong retail sales experience with a genuine flair for interior design and luxury home styling.
You will be responsible for providing an exceptional in-store experience for our clients — offering expert advice on furniture, fabrics, and finishes, and helping customers bring their design visions to life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a high level of customer service in-store, building rapport and understanding clients' lifestyle and design needs.
* Deliver expert design advice and product recommendations, from furniture layouts and colour palettes to fabric choices and finishes.
* Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding individual and team targets.
* Prepare and present design mood boards, floor plans, or digital visuals (where relevant) to help clients visualise their space.
* Maintain up-to-date product knowledge across all collections, materials, and finishes.
* Ensure the showroom is always presented to the highest visual standard, aligning with brand guidelines.
* Assist with merchandising, product displays, and seasonal updates.
* Manage follow-ups, quotations, and order processing to deliver a seamless client experience.
* Support store events, design consultations, and collaborations as part of the wider marketing and sales strategy.
Skills & Experience:
* 2+ years' experience in a retail sales role, ideally in interiors, furniture, or design-led environments.
* A strong interest or qualification in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative, customer-first approach.
* Confidence in upselling and cross-selling high-value products.
* Strong attention to detail and an eye for design, colour, and spatial layout.
* Computer/Digital literate — ideally with experience using design tools (e.g. Canva, or similar) and retail POS and SHOPIFY
* systems.
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple design and sales projects simultaneously.
