An excellent opportunity has opened for an experienced Facilities Manager to join a high-performing, safety-led manufacturing site in Limerick. This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for facilities operations, maintenance strategy, and continuous improvement within a complex, regulated environment.
You’ll be leading a well-established team, driving operational excellence and supporting site leadership on key projects and initiatives.
About the Role
This position will have overall responsibility for managing site facilities services, working closely with a Team Lead and a wider team of engineers, contractors, and calibration specialists.
The role focuses on developing maintenance and facilities management strategies, ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and overseeing vendor and contractor management.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead the Facilities Services function for the site, including maintenance, utilities, and asset management.

Provide leadership and oversight to the Facilities Team Lead, managing day-to-day operations across a 25+ person team.
*
Drive a proactive, safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all EHS standards and legislation.
*
Manage contractor and vendor relationships, service agreements, and performance KPIs.
*
Collaborate with site leadership on capacity planning, continuous improvement, and strategic projects.
*
Oversee facilities budgets, forecasting, and operational expenditure.
*
Identify opportunities for operational, process, and infrastructure enhancements.
About You
We’re looking for a strong leader with excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills, who can balance strategic direction with operational oversight.
The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years’ proven experience in Facilities Management leadership roles.
*
Strong background in maintenance management and facilities services within manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments.
*
Demonstrable knowledge of EHS regulations and facilities best practices.
*
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
*
Commercially aware, with operational budget and cost management experience.
*
Project management capability desirable.
*
A collaborative leadership style, capable of influencing at all levels.
