Job Title: Assistant Financial Controller
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join our finance team at a leading hotel based in Cork City Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
* Recording revenue and key statistical data from the Property Management System.
* Processing and checking all purchase invoices and maintaining creditor ledgers.
* Liaising with hotel management to monitor debtor ledgers and perform cash management tasks.
* End-to-end income audit, including cash, credit card, and bank reconciliations.
* Creditor control, procure wizard orders, invoice processing, accounts payable coding, and reconciliation.
* Payroll support and assisting with group reporting.
* Analyzing bank accounts and performing monthly reconciliations.
* Maintaining the general ledger and assisting with month-end accounts.
* Producing a timely set of monthly accounts and calculating key performance indicators.
* Supporting the Financial Controller with budget preparation.
Requirements:
* Experience in finance within the hospitality sector, ideally 2+ years in a busy/fast-paced finance function.
* Part-qualified or qualified accounting certification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA).
* Good exposure to AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end, and budgeting processes.
* Strong Excel skills and experience with Sage Line 50, Procure Wizard, and Opera are advantageous.
* Demonstrated integrity and transparency in work practices.
