Laboratory Assistant/Aide
(part-time, permanent contract)

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and ambitious Laboratory Assistant. The successful candidate will join our friendly, supportive laboratory team and contribute to the delivery and expansion of our service and hospital. Our multidisciplinary laboratory provides the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge and we are very supportive of on-going professional development.
Candidate Requirements
* Leaving certificate or equivalent including biology and/ or chemistry (essential)
* A relevant degree is desirable.
* Recent experience in a hospital laboratory is desirable
* Experience of ISO 15189 and JCI hospital accreditation is desirable
* Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills are essential
* Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Enthusiasm, adaptability and a willingness to co-operate and collaborate
* The successful candidate will be a team player who is also able to work on their own initiative.
