Graduate Shift Manager
Type: Permanent
Location: Macroom, Cork
Work Model: 5 days a week onsite in Cork initially, with potential to change to shift work.
Job Responsibilities:
* Lead the Shift Team to achieve production targets/KPIs.
* Ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygiene.
* Maintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice.
* Monitor and control costs.
* Ensure the safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors and visitors.
* Ensure that team are properly trained and managed to work in a safe, quality conscious and effective way.
* Maintain positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels.
* Ensure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance.
* Drive initiatives to maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficiencies.
* Liaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical and maintenance teams to achieve optimum results.
* Responsible for Danone Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal Controller.
* Interface with HR in relation to employee performance/development and any employee relations issues.
* Update relevant HR systems as required.

Desirable Skills:
* Experience in a management/supervisory role in the food manufacturing Industry is required.
* Third level qualification in a related field is desirable.
* SAP/MES/scada experience highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of Microsoft Office is required.
* Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
