Based in Ireland's capital on behalf of one of the largest providers of women and newborn healthcare hospitals in the Republic of Ireland, Head Medical are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Histopathologist - Speciality Interest in Perinatal Pathology to join their dynamic and growing medical team. The hospital promotes and supports normality in pregnancy and childbirth; the hospital also provides a comprehensive range of highly specialised care in high-risk maternal and fetal medicine, newborn medicine, anaesthesia and gynaecology. This hospital is recognised for tertiary services including maternal and fetal medicine, neonatology, gynaecology and peri-operative medicine (caring for almost 9,000 women, with more than 1,000 neonatal admissions and almost 6000 gynaecology operations per annum.

What's on Offer for You?
5. Basic Salary scale between €231,215- €277,036 in accordance with the HSE 2023 Consultant contract
6. Additional remuneration for on-call duties and overtime as applicable depending on rota (up to €19,000)
7. Highly flexible contract that enables consultants opportunity for a variety of different work patterns
8. Up to €12,000 CME and €8,000 research grant

12. Hours: 37 hours per week, plus on-call supplements
Key Responsibilities
13. Will work in the Hospital as part of a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the Master/CEO.
14. Will work as part of the Laboratory Medicine Division within the Hospital.
15. Will possess the necessary skill-mix to address current deficiencies.
16. Involvement in Clinical Audit Committee and Ethics Committee as required
17. Will provide clinical leadership in MDT context - hand-over, ward-rounds, clinical risk & morbidity/mortality
18. Responsibility for the organisation and provision of Perinatal Pathology.
19. Responsibility for education, training and audit
20. Continuous Professional Development.
Requirements to Apply
21. Full registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)—Specialist Division in Histopathology.
22. Should be fully trained to the level of Consultant Histopathologist.
23. Will be expected to demonstrate leadership
