Retail Duty Manager Job Kildare

Our client who has a number of shops around Kildare, is a highly respected and an ambitious retail business with many awards to their name and has a great track record for promoting managers into key positions in retail. They are recognised as a major player in the premium fresh food convenience industry.
Due to continued growth in one of their newest premium retail shops, our client is looking to strengthen the management team to support 25 colleagues in the store.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced shop assistant who does orders and key holding duties or someone already Supervising or managing staff in a similar grocery or food convenience business.
This job is located in a growing town just on the outskirts of Kildare town, but also only 20 minutes drive from Edenderry and Portarlington, Co. Laois.

Yearly base salary Neg DOE, 32,000 - 36,000,
Responsibilities for this Retail Shop Duty Manager Job:
* Running shifts as the main manager in charge, opening and closing the store correctly, ensuring the store runs smoothly, and maintaining the standards expected of the brand
* A fair rotational roster is in place for the management team, but candidates must be available to both start and commute to work between the hours of 6-7am and close the shop at 10pm also
* Working with management to help drive sales, control stock levels, maintain store standards
* Supervising staff, developing and coaching teams in the store, review staff's performance and jobs completed and provide feedback to improve performance
* Help the shop manager achieve KPI targets, control waste, stock loss etc
* Ordering stock, controlling stock levels, rotating produce and liaising with the store suppliers
Requirements for this Retail Shop Duty Manager Job:
* Some previous experience supervising others in a shop environment, communicating jobs to be completed and providing feedback on quality of work
* 1+ years of retail management experience, ideally within an environment with fresh foods or grocery goods but will consider a background in discount or big box retail
* Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
* People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
* The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
* A strong work ethic.
